Bring your family and join the Senator John Heinz History Center for the next Quest for Freedom Live & Learn Weekends of 2009 and rediscover the inspiring stories that linked all Americans to the state of independence. The weekend programs highlight various issues faced in Pennsylvania during the historic Underground Railroad and Civil War era and feature special Guests from the Past, songs, and presentations.

The event will also be live streamed beginning Friday, Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 14 at 10:30 a.m. and will feature a live question and answer session. This event's featured book will be: My Confederate Kinfolk: a 21st-century Freedwoman Discovers Her Roots by Thulani Davis (2007)
